Katherine Penney is an artist specialised in Printmaking and Photography. Following her MA Katherine's work was exhibited in the Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA), which paved the way to exhibit internationally. Katherine deepened her knowledge of design while working at the globally recognised design practice, Heatherwick Studio London. Following this, Katherine's path leaned into the area of arts and health where she worked with Breathe Arts Health Research for 6 years, designing and delivering creative interventions to staff and patients at Guys and St Thomas’ Hospital London.
Katherine is currently working alongside participants involved in the CHOICE (Challenging Health Outcomes/ integrating Care Environments) research project. This arts-based approach aims to address social exclusion and reduce inequalities experienced by people living with series mental health challenges through the use of photography.
